Birzeit 2018 Conference « Randomness, Graphs, Trees, Walks, Statistics »

The RGTW2018 conference on « Randomness, Graphs, Trees, Walks, Statistics » initially scheduled on February 17-22, 2018 is postponed to August 27-30, 2018. The location of the conference will be Birzeit university.

The main topics of the conference will be random graphs, trees and walks. There will also be lectures on dynamical systems, stochastic networks and statistics.

Palestinian mathematicians, academics or advanced students are warmly invited to attend the conference.

For an Institute of Political Studies united in solidarity Call for support – No to partnerships complicit in apartheid

This petition is an objection to the partnership signed between Rennes Institute of Political Studies (France) and Tel Aviv University (TAU) aimed at researchers, PhD students and university professors. It defends on a wider scale the adoption of a charter commiting Rennes Institute of Political Studies not to sign any partership with israeli universities nor universities involved in human rights abuses.

As Ahed Tamimi, a Palestinian teenage girl enduring unjust detention in an Israeli prison, begins trial today, major organizations from the Indian women’s movement, representing over 10 million Indian women, demand her release alongside all Palestinian child prisoners. These organizations have also heeded the Palestinian call to endorse the BDS movement as the most effective form of solidarity with Ahed and other child prisoners.
