Canada Revenue Agency formally revokes the charitable status of the Jewish National Fund (JNF) of Canada and Ne’eman Foundation of Canada

Breaking news! August 10, 2024, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has officially published in the Gazette the revocation of two charities providing funds to the Canada-Israel war crimes project. BREAKING: Canada Revenue Agency formally revokes the charitable status of the Jewish National Fund of Canada and Ne’eman Foundation of Canada. The announcement today’s Canada Gazette means taxpayers will no longer subsidize Ne’eman and JNF support for genocide. Amidst the ongoing horrors in Gaza, this is a small win for grassroots activism.

Overwriting Palestine

It is extraordinary that to date not a single US university has officially condemned the genocide in Gaza – or, at the very least, the systematic Israeli destruction of universities there. On the contrary, they have insisted that they will maintain institutional ties with their Israeli counterparts, including those that are implicated in the war on Palestinian society and life, as well as their investments in the corporations gorging on the profits generated by Palestinian death.

Director of Al-Haq Shawan Jabarin Holds Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera accountable

Il Corriere Della Sera, one of Italy’s most prominent newspapers, has paid around 15,000 Euros in damages to Shawan Jabarin, the General Director of Al-Haq, for falsely accusing him in 2021 of being a terrorist and murderer, an unfounded allegation based on Israeli propaganda and smear campaigns. Mr. Jabarin will  donate the compensation to Al-Haq and UNRWA.
