The AURDIP Board of Directors is proposing the creation of several working groups. If you are interested in these groups, please contact the designated coordinators for each one.

The AURDIP Webinar Working Group. The coordinator is Sonia Dayan Hezbrun (soherzbrun<at>yahoo.fr), who is also vice president of AURDIP. The group will be responsible for developing the program and facilitating the sessions for an upcoming AURDIP webinar, designed to present and discuss academic work or initiatives related to the association’s objectives and themes. The schedule and content of these sessions will be determined within the framework of this working group.
The Academic Freedom Working Group, in collaboration with CAALAP. The contact person is Willy Beauvallet (willy.beauvallet<at>me.com), who is also vice president of AURDIP. The focus will be on developing actions and mobilization efforts to strengthen academic and pedagogical freedoms regarding issues related to Palestine and the Middle East more broadly, as well as responding to the increasingly frequent repressions and setbacks in this area.
The Textbooks Working Group. The coordinator is Hasna Abid (hasna.abid53<at>gmail.com), who is also a member of the AURDIP Board of Directors. In collaboration with the UJFP and the AFPS in particular, the group will conduct critical monitoring of how new textbooks present and address the history of Palestine and the Palestinian people.
The FRACBI Working Group (France Academic and Cultural Boycott Initiative). The contact person is Ivar Ekeland (ivar.ekeland<at>protonmail.com), who is also president of AURDIP. The goal is to support the initiative recently launched with AURDIP’s backing, which aims to intensify boycott actions—particularly targeting Israeli academic institutions—as part of the BDS campaign. As you know, these institutions play a decisive role, both historically and currently, in colonization, surveillance, repression, and the ongoing genocide in Gaza. FRACBI is coordinated through a platform accessible here: https://fracbi.org
The Advocacy Working Group. The coordinators are Céline Casali (contactcasalic<at>gmail.com), who is also a member of the AURDIP Board of Directors, and Willy Beauvallet (willy.beauvallet<at>me.com). The goal is to lead efforts to inform and promote the association’s causes among members of the National Assembly and the Senate. This work began during the debate on the Yadan private member’s bill and during recent study days held with other associations and collectives at the National Assembly.
The Europe Working Group. The coordinators are Céline Casali (contactcasalic<at>gmail.com) and Ivar Ekeland (ivar.ekeland<at>protonmail.com). The goal is to participate in recently launched initiatives to establish European networks of associations similar to ours, with a view to conducting advocacy efforts with European parliamentarians and institutions and/or coordinating a European observatory on violations of academic freedom and freedom of expression.
