Germany blocks ‘Gaza hero’ Dr Ghassan Abu Sittah from attending Berlin Palestine conference
Dr Ghassan Abu Sittah was barred entry into Germany to speak at a Palestine solidarity conference taking place in the capital Berlin today.
“The fact that we are being denied our rights is a humiliation. How are we supposed to teach the younger generation values like justice and dignity when we are humiliated?” exclaimed a teacher at the protest.

Hearings are expected in The Hague this week. South Africa is also seeking an emergency suspension of Israel’s military campaign on Gaza.
An Israeli court extended the detention by 11 days of Palestinian-Italian citizen Khaled El Qiaisi on Thursday, September 21. El Qaisi was detained on August 31 at the Allenby Bridge crossing on his way back to Italy with his family.
