Break the selective silence on the genocide in Gaza
Substantial and well-documented evidence indicates a catastrophic public health emergency in Gaza (appendix pp 1–5), marked by severe food insecurity and alarming levels of malnutrition-related deaths.1 Life expectancy at birth reportedly declined by approximately 35 years in 2024.2 This represents a greater collapse in longevity than that recorded during the genocide in Rwanda, where life expectancy at birth declined from age 42·9 years in 1993 to age 12·2 years in 1994.3

Genocide in Gaza
This report documents the Israeli assault for what it is: a deliberate, cumulative, and ongoing dismantling of Gaza’s healthcare system – and of the population’s ability to survive. Its meaning: genocide.
OUR GENOCIDE
Since October 2023, Israel has shifted its policy toward the Palestinians. Its military onslaught on Gaza, underway for more than 21 months, has included mass killing, both directly and through creating unlivable conditions, serious bodily or mental harm to an entire population, decimation of basic infrastructure throughout the Strip, and forcible displacement on a huge scale, with ethnic cleansing added to the list of official war objectives.
Structural Violence and Humanitarian Facades: A Critical Analysis of Israel’s Gaza Aid Mechanisms
In a July 2025 exposé by Double Down News, former UNRWA official Chris Gunness revealed Israel’s systematic weaponization of humanitarian aid in Gaza, detailing how the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) – staffed by ex-military personnel – has replaced UNRWA while enabling attacks on civilians seeking food (over 875 people killed). The testimony exposes Israel’s use of biblical genocidal narratives (Amalek doctrine), deliberate obstruction of aid under humanitarian pretexts, and Western complicity through defunding of UNRWA while sanctioning International Criminal Court investigators – constituting what legal experts identify as violations of the Genocide Convention’s prohibition on starvation tactics. This institutionalized violence represents an alarming case of humanitarian systems being repurposed for population control.
